Harrell Automotive
I couldn't be happier. I'd taken a different car there previously for a transmission diagnostic. They were honest, reasonable, and explained my options thoroughly. I chose not to get work done at that time on that car, because it was just a beater that I was using for a delivery job. But the experience was good enough that I entrusted them with major repairs on my beloved classic car... a 25 year old Volvo 240 station wagon. Yeah, I know, it isn't a hot rod. But I love her dearly and don't trust her to just anyone. For people who complain about speed: Good, fast, cheap - pick any two. This shop takes its time, but it does quality work at a quality price. People who do fast and cheap aren't always trustworthy and the work doesn't always hold up. It takes time to get parts for a 25 year old car, and there were a couple of issues that didn't manifest until the work was actually underway. That said, at every step of the process Matt was happy to give me updates and keep me informed of what they needed to do and why. I felt that the mechanic doing the work, Paul, completely understood my passion to keep this car running for another 25 years, and gave me his best effort to help that happen. I'm 150 miles away from my usual mechanic, from whom I've come to expect this level of quality and service, and it was a great pleasure to find that I didn't have to drive all the way to Pittsburgh to go see him. Harrell Automotive did a great job for me, at a fair price.
